Cosmic Cranberry-Banana Cooler

Sometimes a banana just tastes better when it's icy cold and frozen, and this cranberry-banana combo is simply stellar. A glass of cosmic drink is the rocket fuel that will keep your child soaring on a hot day.

Combine the first four ingredients in a blender and add enough ice to fill half the blender pitcher. Puree until smooth and serve immediately.
Serves: 4 Serving Size: 1/2 cup Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
1 banana, peeled and cut into 1-inch chunks, frozen
  1 cup low-calorie cranberry juice
  1 cup plain seltzer water
  2 tablespoons Splenda
  Ice cubes

 

Marvelous Mango Lassi

The lassi, invented in India, is a super healthy version of a milkshake. It's light and frothy fun in a glass. Try using the traditional ingredient of honey rather than Splenda to sweeten if carbs can be spared. mango and yogurt never tasted so good!

1 soft mango, peeled and cut into cubes, the larger seed discarded
  1 cup fat-free plain yogurt
  2 tablespoons Splenda or honey
  1 1/2 cups ice cubes
