This Month's Recipe: Spanish Style Dates with Bacon

Try Robyn's Spanish Style Dates with Bacon

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Cut a small slit in each date.
  2. Insert an almond into the date and press the date together to seal. Wrap each date with a bacon slice.
  3. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper. Place a roasting rack on top of the baking sheet.
  4. Add the dates and roast for 20 minutes until the dates are hot and the bacon is crisp.
  5. Serve immediately with toothpicks.

 

Ingredients Needed:

  • 20 pitted large dates
  • 20 roasted, unsalted almonds
  • 10 slices of bacon, cut crosswise
